Perfect Weather for ‘Walk for Thought’

On April 2, 2011, the Brain Injury Association of Tennessee held its first “Walk for Thought,” a fundraising event at Centennial Park in Nashville, Tenn. About 25 people participated in the walk and two others arrived late and were unable to walk the mile around the Parthenon and the lake.

There were a couple of people whom I had not expected to be there who were, and a dozen or so who had given me verbal confirmation that they would be there who were not.

I understand life happens, and people have to go out of town, but still I missed them.

Next year, I hope to have at least double or maybe triple the participation. For the Walk for Thought 2011, we only had about a month to plan, promote and orchestrate, so I expect next year we will be better organized with greater attendance.
